No matter how you might lose a tooth, a dental implant is an excellent way of sorting the problem.

If you’re an admirer of Bressie – and who isn’t? – you may know that he’s not just one of Ireland’s favourite entertainers, but he’s also mad into his sport. He’s particularly into triathlon, and seems to spend most of his waking day running, cycling or swimming.

Anyway, at a recent training session, he got an accidental ‘puck in the gob’ from a fellow swimmer. And typical of many macho men, he decided to ignore it! What’s the worst that could happen, he reckoned!

Shift forward to Bressie appearing on live TV during a recording of The Voice Of Ireland. Bressie made history – but not in a good way – by losing a tooth in front of the entire nation.

For anyone to lose a tooth is a big deal, but for someone like Bressie who graces our screens so often, it was a particularly hard blow and he knew that he had to sort it right away.

Bright and early the following morning, Bressie was onto MyDental to explain his plight. We took him in right away for a cosmetic fix that would allow him to appear on TV without frightening the nation, but the longer-term plan required an implant as he’d completely lost a tooth thanks to that pesky swimming accident.

And though it might surprise you, demand for tooth implants thanks to sporting mishaps are very common. It can be anything from falling off a bike, a clash of heads on the football pitch, or getting a hurley in the face (although you should obviously be wearing a helmet!).

Thankfully, however, for those who run foul of accidental sporting damage, the cost of dental implants has never been lower, so sorting that gap in your smile very definitely won't break the bank.

And if you happen to be a little tight on cash at the time, remember that here at MyDental, we’ve got a brilliant 0% Dental Finance Plan in place that lets you spread the cost over three months, six months or nine months.

This means that it won't cost you s red cent in interest for the privilege of spreading the cost of your treatment over several months. The very thought of cheap dental implants is probably something of a surprise for many people, but greater streamlining in modern dental surgeries means that prices continue to fall.

And remember that once you’ve paid for the implant, you’ll have it for life, so it represents excellent value for money. There’s no special way of caring for it – you simply brush and floss as normal, and your implant will live happily ever after.

The bottom line is that if you lose a tooth for any reason, it doesn’t mean that you automatically have to opt for a denture. An implant gives you greater stability, and will never embarrass you in public by slipping out of place while you're talking or eating.

So maybe it's time you considered going the implant route. Not only is it a great treatment, but it won’t break the bank. If you’re thinking about going down this road and would like to find out a little more in advance, may we recommend the following article for you -  http://bit.ly/1NKp87G
