Invisible braces can make your smile visible again!
If you're on the lookout for clear braces in Dublin, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s what we can do for you.
We all love a happy ending, so here’s a tale that will gladden your heart – and it all happened right here in our Ballsbridge surgery! Late last year, we had a visit from a brand new patient. In his mid-thirties, he had some bad experiences in the past with other dentists, but a friend had sent him our way on the promise that we were much more sympathetic and human in how we treat our patients.
Arising from the negative experiences he’d had with dentists, he had neglected his teeth for a period of almost a decade. The results were clear to see. As he’d matured through his twenties and overcrowding became a problem, his teeth had become very crooked.
Rather than return to a dentist to get the problem sorted, he’d responded by clamming up. It was heartbreaking to hear him tell us that he simply didn’t smile for five years, hoping to conceal his crooked smile from the world.
Over the course of a twenty-minute chat with one of our dentists, he told us that he was getting married within the next three months, and really wanted to smile at his beautiful bride on the big day.
We were really touched by his story, and were delighted to give him the good news that we could solve his problems in around six months – in plenty of time to see him walk down the aisle with a perfectly straight smile.
I didn’t think braces could work that quickly?
The form of clear braces we use here at MyDental is called Quickbraces. Also referred to as invisible braces, our Quickbraces work much faster than those old-fashioned ‘train tracks’ that were once so common in Irish life.
The traditional braces took about two years to straighten teeth, but Quickbraces work, on average, in just half a year. The timescale varies slightly from patient to patient, but this is a good rule of thumb.
And apart from being very quick, Quickbraces are also very comfortable. They’re made from much lighter materials, and also exert less pressure than older forms of braces, so our patients very quickly get used to wearing them – and sometimes even forget they’ve got them.
They must cost a fortune?
We understand why you'd think that a new technology would cost more. But here’s the really interesting thing – Quickbraces actually cost much less than their traditional rivals. Why? Well simply because we spend less time with the patient, so we can afford to charge less.
So if you're on the lookout for clear braces in Dublin, you’re in for a very pleasant surprise when you hear what they’ll cost you. And remember that you can spread the cost of your invisible braces over three, six or nine months – thanks to our 0% Dental Finance Plan.
So how did things end up with your patient?
They ended brilliantly. After six months and two weeks, we’d transformed his crooked smile into a thing of genuine beauty. He dropped into us about two weeks ago for a checkup and showed us a couple of photographs of his wedding day. And yes, you’ve guessed it – he was positively beaming in each of the photos.
Our Code Of Conduct is the same for all of our patients
How we behave with our patients is covered by the Code of Practice of the Irish Dental Council (http://www.dentalcouncil.ie/g_dentalethics.php). That said, we always look to go above and beyond the requirements of the code when it comes to treating our patients. Just ask our smiling groom!
